Can you bake the schnitzel instead of frying?

Carolina Gelen's avatar

I did a test on this and the result wasn’t great. The texture of the dish was off, it wasn’t as crispy as the fried one and by the time the potatoes were done cooking, the chicken got quite dry :)

What about air frying? Have you tried that?

PROBLEMATICALLY DELICIOUS. INSANE.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS TERRIBLY TERRIFIC IDEA.

Looks amazing. Found your page via “@chefreactions” on IG. Now following. One question: What oil do you use for frying?

The sesame seeds add so much. Also I found that three potatoes was enough to cover everything, maybe I didn’t get the breasts thin enough tho

My potato mixture clumped and it was hard to make an even coating. The first chicken pieces were covered really thickly , and the coating fell off in patches. How did you do it that yours is loose and stays the right consistency for coating? 🙂 X

These were phenomenal! I saw your reel on IG and made it by sight. I substituted tapioca starch because that’s what I had on hand (I used less). I eyeballed everything. I halved the recipe because I only had 2 breasts. The breasts remained juicy! I used a deep fryer at 350 and it cooked rather quickly 6 mins or so until deep golden brown like yours. I used Sriracha Aîoli (IYKYK) This was a genius idea!

These were excellent! Our whole family couldn’t stop eating them. I don’t know if we will ever go back to regular latkes again. Thank you!

Omg these are amazing. Amazing like “I should rent a food truck in NYC and make these for a month, and sell them in midtown during lunch”. Thank you for this!

This was amaze balls!!! Soo good. We made both sauces. We tag teamed the efforts of the chicken and potatoes ingredients so it helped a lot of the time that went into prep. Recommend making this with your loved one and enjoying together. Such a good recipe and it really does hit the pallet right. If you don’t like sweet with meat skip the apple sauce but the lemon aioli is a must!! I’m sure it pairs nicely with tons of sauces but these are stellar!! Thank you for the yummy recipe.
