I am huge fan of all your recipe ,Thank for let in them free thank you for all good vibes you put into your food , I am a new vegetarian and your cooking helps me a lot ❤️
I find most goat cheeses rather bland and tasteless. I use the very flavorful tangy Spanish Cana de Cabra when a recipe calls for goat cheese. I'm going to try this on this cake. I'll let you know how it goes.
Love love this recipe, will be making it for my sister this weekend <3
One of my recent disappointments was at my fave cafe. I was SO EXCITED to try their “Beetroot masala chai”. I had such high hopes but man was it bad😭 like, couldn’t even drink the whole thing bad. Should I’ve known from the start that it was a bad idea?
Squash pie with supposed coconut whipped cream. Horrible and fake whipped cream in a highly regarded organic restaurant! And I even asked the server if the whipped cream was house made. Yuckkkk
Looove goat cheese. Willing to try the carrot cake (not a big fan) but what do you think about this frosting on a pumpkin cake? I feel like it could be interesting..
Please keep posting your recipes here Carolina, it's the only way I can read/cook 'em as I loathe and detest instagram etc. Thank you for publishing them here :)
Made this delightful cake today. Lots of goat cheese goodness and savoriness in the frosting, especially with the extra tangy Cabra de Cana goat cheese I used. I can promise that everyone you serve this to will remark "wow" on the unexpected flavor combination. Most carrot cakes taste generally the same... not this one! I really liked that this cake wasn't sickeningly sweet, more savory and hearty dense rustic goodness upfront.
I’m so excited to baking this for Grateful Dinner this week!
I’d like to add 3/4 c rum soaked raisins-- and in other recipes, usually I’d add in the soaking liquid as well. Do you have any suggestions for ratios of raisins:liquid, and if adding in that liquid would affect the baking? 👀
Also making the orange and Fennel roast for our turkey too 🤗😎
hi!!! i made the pantry carbonara linked in this post and LOVED it! ive tried to leave a comment on the recipe a couple times but it keeps throwing an error :( thought i’d leave a comment here to let you know, because this recipe deserves to be praised to the max!!!
will leave my review here for now :)
this was so delicious and such a success! love the tempering idea — seemingly foolproof after many other failed carbonara attempts on my part haha. if your pasta has a quick cook time (like the 8 min for my bucatini) i’d recommend starting the base of the sauce first. thank you carolina, i will be making this on the regular!!! i think i’ll freeze the egg whites for angel food cake now that it’s strawberry season :)
this is a weird question but do i have to add the oats? i’m not a huge fan of them especially in desserts. will it make much of a difference to the consistency/texture? love your recipes by the way!!

Sounds delicious, definitely keep me posted :)
I MUST try to make this, I had never thought of carrot cake and goat cheese together, but the idea is intriguing!
I'm glad to hear that, let me know if you try it :)

I’m confused why step number 6 mentions pumpkin bread?!
I did a pumpkin themed week of recipes on instagram, I think I haven't recovered from it yet, haha! My bad, it was supposed to say "carrot cake" :)
The carrot cake recipe alone sounds delicious. Is it possible to bake it in a spring form pan? I'm definitely going to make this. Thanks.
Absolutely, a spring form pan will work just fine :)
Thanks. Now I can bake away in confidence 😂

YIKES!!!
Thank you for sharing a carrot cake recipe without raisins! Haha. Excited to try it with the goat cheese frosting! Sounds yummy and super interesting.
So happy to hear that, let me know if you do :)

This frosting would work so well on a pumpkin cake, I would definitely give it a go :)
I do love your recipes but decided to unfollow Scraps since it’s generally just stuff you post on IG.
Sorry to hear that, Emily, thank you for being a part of it :)
