What can I substitute for sour cream, it's kind of hard to get where i'm from. Can't wait to try out your recipe!

I was about to ask the same question! I wonder if greek yogurt or just normal yogurt would be good subs for it 🤔

Good subs indeed, Greek yogurt will work perfectly in this scenario :)

If you can find Greek yogurt, that should do the job :)

What would you pair with the crunchy sweet potatoes for dinner?

I think they would work really well with some spicy roasted salmon!

Would it be okay to use finely ground coffee beans instead of the instant espresso?

Unfortunately, they won't work as a substitute. If you don't feel like committing to buying a whole jar of instant espresso, a couple of tablespoons of cocoa powder would add a similar depth and bitterness to the batter, so use that instead, or simply omit adding anything and keep the batter vanilla-flavored :)

I love a substantial crumb topping too! Is your measurement for kosher salt Diamond? I have Morton’s, so I find that I have to halve the amount if the brand isn’t specified.

Also, what kind of cocoa powder do you recommend (Dutch or natural)?

It's Diamond indeed! For the cocoa, my first choice would be Dutch-processed cocoa, but both kinds will do the job :)

Can you freeze this and if so would you freeze raw, par baked, or completely baked?

I have a regular Samsung oven (relatively new) and I had to bake it for an additional 17 minutes at this temperature. But otherwise the cake turned out amazing and wasn’t too sweet!! :)

I tried this recipe and I think my coffee measurement was not ok? It doesn’t taste like. Coffee 😖 still a good cake. Will try it again!
