If I’m going to use frozen blueberries, do I need to defrost & drain them?

I would wash them in warmer water to partially defrost them, but no need for anything time consuming like thawing them overnight :)

I don’t have baking soda on hand, is it really necessary?

Looks amazing! Can I substitute the butter for oil in this recipe?

You could, just make sure to use a little less than what the recipe calls for, about 1/3 cup of oil should be enough. You could also use vegan butter to get a similar flavor to the original :)

I'm super excited to try this recipe tomorrow! I only have small frozen blueberries... should I still toss them in the 2 T of flour? :)

Thanks xx

definitely! wet them a little bit under a sieve to partially thaw them, then toss in flour :)

Wow, this looks really, really good. I live that the recipes you share have some home-feel to them, and aren't crazy all over the place stuff. I'm definitely going to try this asap. Thank you!

This was delightful! I added some lemon zest to the batter and it was a nice addition -if you like a bit of lemon essence ;) not too sweet which I prefer! Thank you miss Carolina!!

Made this today and it’s DELICIOUS. Didn’t have lemons for the glaze so added a 1/2 tsp of orange extract to it with 1/2 tsp of vanilla and it was great!! Amazing recipe!
